Kurt R. Vilders
Kurt R. Vilders has 34 years of experience handling a wide range of legal issues. Mr. Vilders focuses his practice in the areas of real estate, finance, corporate, business and construction law. His real estate practice is extensive, advising automotive manufacturers and suppliers nationwide on commercial and industrial incentives, development, leasing, construction and land use. He also represents an array of mid-market companies as general counsel on a broad variety of business matters. His clients include hospitals, other health care providers, accounting firms, non-profits and lending institutions.
Mr. Vilders is Chairperson of the Real Estate Practice Group and is a member of the firm’s Executive Committee.
Represented Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. in the development and construction of numerous parts distribution centers between 250,000 and 1,000,000 square feet nationwide
Advised a large hospital in the negotiation of its 350,000 square foot leased headquarters in southeastern Michigan
Assisted Toyota in the procurement of entitlements, tax incentives, development and construction of a large research and development center in York Township, Michigan
Assisted Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. in negotiating the financing, acquisition and leasing of flagship dealerships in New York City for Audi and Volkswagen
Advised a large health care provider regarding the sale of various business segments as a result of the Affordable Care Act
