Kerr Russell, James Cambridge recognized as Sponsor of the Year by the Detroit Chinese Business Association
From November 7-9, the Detroit Chinese Business Association - in conjunction with the Bureau of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and the National Automobile Development Alliance - is hosting the US/China Auto Expo and Forum at Edward Hotel & Conference Center in Dearborn, Michigan.
At the welcome dinner on November 7, Kerr Russell was recognized for the firm's longstanding sponsorship of the DCBA. James Cambridge, member, was presented the "Sponsor of the Year" award, which reads, "A deep heartfelt appreciation for your ongoing support of the organization." Cambridge, Chaoyi Ding (associate), and Roy Sexton (director of marketing) attended on behalf of the firm.
On November 8, Michael Gibson (member) will participate in a panel, moderated by Doeren Mayhew's Matthew Gurwin, on mergers and acquisitions. The panel is currently scheduled to begin at 2 pm that day.
The Detroit Chinese Business Association (DCBA), in their press release for the event, notes that this event "will host one of the most significant business delegations from China to visit Michigan in recent history at the Edward Hotel & Conference Center in Dearborn. The 2017 USA China Auto Expo & Forum takes place November 7-10, 2017. The release adds, "Each Chinese Automotive Company has been carefully selected by DCBA and MIIT, the highest-level PRC government office for developing China’s overall industrial planning, policies, and promoting the national knowledge economy, to meet the following standards: OEM Suppliers with $50 million to $1 billion in annual automotive revenues and a substantial commitment to establishing a footprint in North America through long term corporate growth planning." The Forum will begin on November 7 with a networking reception that will welcome the Chinese delegation of over 100 top executives, government officials, and business leaders representing well over 35 companies.
