Bio
Rachel has extensive medical malpractice litigation experience, including cases involving general surgery, cardiology, hematology and oncology, OB/GYN, pediatrics, and neurology. Her experience also includes representing municipalities and governments in cases involving land use, zoning, and environmental law. Rachel also has experience representing individuals and corporations in a variety of business and commercial litigation matters, including cases involving intellectual property, shareholder disputes, breach of contract, and employment law.
Rachel is familiar with all phases of litigation, from pre-suit investigation to post-trial work. She has served as second chair at trial and her appellate advocacy has resulted in multiple favorable outcomes for her clients.
Before joining Kerr Russell, Rachel worked at a medical malpractice law firm in Metro-Detroit and a full-service law firm in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where she handled a variety of litigation matters representing individuals, corporations and governments in state and federal court. Rachel obtained a law degree and M.A. in Environmental Law and Policy from Vermont Law School and a B.A. in political science from Michigan State University.
