Director of Marketing Roy Sexton quoted in Gina Rubel’s Law.com article “Differentiating the Midsize Law Firm to Compete With Big Law”

Roy Sexton, marketing director for Kerr Russell, and former director of marketing for Trott & Trott, P.C. in Michigan—which niches in real estate law, specifically foreclosure—said, ‘The way we differentiated ourselves [at Trott] from other larger and multistate competitors was by leveraging our case management system to provide proprietary report cards generated monthly for our clients.’ He said, ‘They detailed all of a client’s matters, the status of each matter, and projected outcomes. The report cards also identified barriers to success, including any missing information, title issues, etc.’ Sexton explained that the niche industry report cards gave Trott Law several advantages, including the ability to supplement legal counsel with business data that directly impacted the clients’ bottom line. The report cards also enabled the attorneys to schedule regular calls, visits and educational opportunities to review the material, identify gaps in performance, and help their clients understand the legislative landscape in Michigan.” More here.
