We are certainly proud of Kerr Russell member Mike Carroll (construction) who has been chosen as one of the American Cancer Society’s “Real Men (who) Wear Pink.” The kickoff event was held at The Westin Book Cadillac Detroit on August 23, and, while Mike had a conflict, his “campaign manager” Roy Sexton represented. You can show your support here.
Why Mike Wears Pink
“I know how deeply this insidious and challenging disease can upend a life and a family. We can do better. We must do better. I wish my dad were still here as I wish for anyone who has lost a parent or loved one to cancer. It’s devastating,”
Why Mike Supports the American Cancer Society
“My little niece said, ‘Uncle Mike … I’m glad to see someone appreciate your fashion sense … and that you’re secure enough in your masculinity to wear pink!’ Well, pink is a great color, regardless of gender, and darn trendy these days, so I’m up to the challenge. Most importantly, I’m thrilled to be helping this important cause, I’m humbled to be asked, and I’m looking forward to meeting the other gentlemen contributing to this campaign. It’s going to be great fun!”
