Kerr Russell Prevails in Court of Appeals

October 30, 2023

Daniel Ferris and Jacquelyn Klima recently represented a builder/landlord against a municipality that attempted to have its lease declared void, claiming that the client did not solicit competitive bids for construction of the building. The Michigan Court of Appeals sided with Mr. Ferris and Ms. Klima that competitive bids were not required in this instance, citing that the building did not constitute a “public work.” The Court’s opinion can be found HERE.
